Lake Merritt From A Polaroid Lens
I’ve always been fascinated by Polaroid cameras. Something about the manual aspect of capturing each image and the process it takes for the film to develop really intrigued me to the point where I needed to try it myself. I received a 600 series Polaroid camera for my birthday this year and this series documents my first time out and about using the camera. This is a Polaroid street photography series I shot with the question of whether the limiting factor of shooting Polaroids, since it could only hold 8 at a time and the fact that they are about two dollars an image, changes the images I typically shot and the feel of them as well. I added light-hearted titles to each of the images to make each image feel more fun and playful to get across the feel that looking at Polaroids give to me. These images are composed of street shots around Lake Merritt in Oakland, California.
